Oh, I’ve long believed it’s no coinkydink. They knew David Kris was coming in, for example, and would clean it up. I think it also helped that DOJ IG Glenn Fine was conducting investigations, documenting this stuff.
They had already decided by 2008 they wanted to keep him the fuck away from the mandated NSA IG reports. So they were trying to keep him from seeing this stuff.
