    I believe this is the first court filing to cite WH chief of staff Susie Wiles’ admission to Vanity Fair about President Trump’s “score settling.”

    It’s used in support of Abrego Garcia’s vindictive prosecution claim:

    [p2/28] The only “independent” decision (Dkt. 199 at 1) Mr. McGuire made was whether to acquiesce in ODAG’s directive to charge this case, or risk forfeiting his job as Acting U.S. Attorney—and perhaps his employment with the Department of Justice—for refusing to do the political bidding of an Executive Branch that is avowedly using prosecutorial power for “score settling.”3

      HUGE NEWS from the new Epstein files:

      Records show that Maria Farmer, who worked for Epstein,
      filed a “child pornography” report to the FBI in 1996.

      The FBI has never before acknowledged that complaint.
      The case went nowhere, and mass abuse followed.

    as to ICE blurring their faces in photos they release, i was surprised to see the Los Angeles Sheriff Dept. blurred the faces of the officers that arrested Nick Reiner, Carl & Michelle Reiner’s son, in the photos that they released to the public. troubling trend if police departments across the country start doing this. also troubling that newspapers and media simply published these redacted photos without insisting on the unredacted originals.

    Something that I think is important to keep in mind when thinking about Susie Wiles is how influential Michael Deaver’s advice was and how much she took it to heart. I believe it became a governing principle early in her career. She used it to create and/or fabricate images for clients, candidates, and for herself.

    And, based on my own personal experience and knowledge, I believe there is a big gap between Susie the Persona and Susie the Person. I already mentioned some of what I learned during grievance and legal processes. But I also came to see how she operated with local media. Not only as far as I (a private citizen) was concerned, but also how it impacted others, especially politicians.

    So, it’s no surprise to me that JD Vance isn’t at all concerned about Susie calling him a conspiracy theorist or alluding to him as a political opportunist. I’m guessing that Vance might know that Susie has not been averse to working with some Democrats in the past. And I think Susie was probably all in for Vance as the VP pick (job security, maybe.) So it’s all no harm, no foul.
