Hopefully I am not just repeating, as I have’t had a chance to listen yet.
Apparently, Mike Lindell is very happy with the capture of Maduro. Now we can finally hear Maduro spill the beans on Hugo Chavez’s theft of the 2020 election from (only on Day 1) Dictator Don.
And they woulda gotten away with it, if it weren’t for that meddling Lindell.

On a serious note, MercoPress, a Latin American / S. Atlantic news organization reported on Dec. 23, that the Russians withdrew their diplomat’s families from Venezuela. It seems as if they had knowledge of upcoming events.

Doesn’t surprise me at all. Just a courtesy call from one war monger to another. The deal, Putin gets Ukraine. Trump gets Venezuela and whatever else he may want. In the meantime Europe may wind up fighting on two fronts, Ukraine and Greenland. I expect the U.S.A. to become less and less “interested” in Ukraine.
On the bright side, Carney and Xi came to an understanding regarding canola and EVs. It would not surprise me if Canada and China come to more “arrangements”.
Trump and Hoekstra both gave me a laugh. Trump and his line, the trade agreement was of no interest to the Americans and Hoekstra’s line, “the U.S.A. doesn’t need Canada”. O.K. next time the Americans have to pull their jets out and land them some where, I won’t be to surprised if Canada charges a great deal of money for the americans to be able to land their jets here. Perhaps Hoekstra might want to have a look at pictures of all those jets lined up in Gander and all the Americans being hosted by Canadians. Come to think about it, American jets were sitting at V.I.A. also.

West Palm Beach city commissioners voting 7-0 to rename a portion of Southern Boulevard in honor of an adjudicated sexual assaulter AND 34-count convicted felon, is beyond the pale.

These commissioners clearly lack morales and character.

Interesting exchange when Nicole bewailed an outcast fate and Marcy pointed out increasing public awareness that Trump and his minions are lurching US into one major fuck-up after another.
Trump’s people don’t like seeing white Christian citizens being shot in the street, either

Here in Chicago we feel particularly empathetic with Minneapolis and its people. I have never been a flag waiver. The constitution yes. Flag no. But when we were under siege here ( not to suggest it is over but it’s not as bad as Minneapolis ) many of my neighbors flew the chicago flag. Yesterday I ordered the flag of Minneapolis. I encourage others everywhere in this country to do the same. A symbolic gesture that may not mean much to most but to the people of Minneapolis it tells them we are with them.

“The constitution yes. Flag no.” Thanks HG.

I understand the sentiment. It seems that “We the People” surrendered Our Flag starting with the Bush administration’s—“You are either with us or against us”—Global War on Terror. But I want to take back “Our Flag”, and so to create some symmetry in what it means “to fly” the flag. One way to do this is for us to display it alongside another flag of our own choosing: Chicago, Ukraine, Minneapolis (nice suggestion!), etc. Our flag. The one that was raised at Iwo Jima. The one that draped the caskets of those, including my father’s, that have served and died. The one that will drape the caskets of those deceased veterans to come.
