Re Greg Bovino . . .
No one is happier about ICE’s invasion of Chicago than the Chicago Police Department, but not for the reason you might think. You see, the Chicago PD has a long and distinguished history of abuse, violence, and corruption (see Operation Greylord for one classic example). But now . . . now they can walk their neighborhood beats around the city and say “See, we’re not THAT bad . . .”
And they’re right. Look at it this way: CPD officers never rappelled out of a helicopter to bust a few heads.
In a strange coincidence, the black site where the Chicago PD did their head busting and torture is called Homan Square.
Same name as our sadist border czar.
I vote for Wednesday!
