In the June 7th digital edition of the New York Times, there’s an article “Buildup to a Meltdown: How the Trump-Musk alliance Collapsed” by Pager, Swan, and Haberman. The article, albeit with a few nods to Musk’s side, could have been written by Karoline Leavitt. The article by itself seems to be another Trump salvo against Musk delivered through convenient WH leaks.
One sentenced jumped out: “Mr. Trump, who was briefed on a New York Times article about Mr. Musk’s drug use, told associates that Mr. Musk’s “crazy” behavior was linked to his drug use, according to two people with knowledge of the president’s private conversations.”. Doesn’t this suggest that Mr. Musk’s drug use continued after the campaign and while he was rampaging through the federal government at Trump’s request? While I don’t doubt that Musk was using drugs, the timing of The NY Times article cited by Trump is interesting – right before he left the WH and received the cheery send off.
For anyone in doubt about how Trump treats “friends” who cross him, this article is instructive. Not only will Trump dump you, but he will do what he can to humiliate you publicly, even if it means using the “fake news” media.
Yesterday, FBI Director Kash Patel went onto the Joe Rogan Podcast to yuck it up. During the podcast, Elmo posted about Trump and Epstein and Rogan’s producer stopped the podcast to let them know what Elmo had done.
Rogan: “…That’s a crazy thing to say. How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files?”
Patel shook his head, shrugged and raised his hands in quick succession as he told Rogan, “I don’t know. I’m just staying out of the Trump/Elon thing. That’s way outside my lane. I know my lane and that ain’t it….”
It’s almost as if the two are discussing: How did Elmo find out?
It’s also interesting that Patel stated “I don’t know. I’m just staying out of the Trump/Elon thing. That’s way outside my lane. I know my lane and that ain’t it.”

Welp, DOGE does have a lot of access to various government files. Also, whether or not the current POTUS is a former child diddler IS a lane for the FBI Director to have information to. Just saying.
Let’s not minimize child sexual abuse with terms like “child diddler.”

It’s interesting and more than a little strange, being an L.A. resident, to hear about these raids on TV as if they’re happening somewhere else. I’m watching film clips of it on BBC and The Guardian. Yes, I know it’s a large city – I live about 12 miles away from downtown L.A. where yesterday’s raids/protests took place and today there is a raid/protest in the majority-Hispanic suburb of Paramount, 18 miles away from where I live. This one is a Home Depot raid, where day workers have congregated in HD parking lots all over the place for years and years and years to get short-term work. Apparently local police are not being so co-operative with the feds, showing up late and not co-ordinating with them.
The locals know these aren’t the ones who are dangerous. (They also know that you can find them at U-Haul centers, or wherever else you’re likely to need a warm body to help load and unload stuff.
Miller wants an insurrection so much that he’ll create one if need be. The problem is that most people, including the undocumented, are law-abiding and peaceful.
Exactly.

LAPD has more than 2000 uniformed officers. I don’t know about other agencies, but 2000 isn’t enough to control more than a parade crowd.
Reminds me of what Gov. Ronald Reagan did in 1969 with those unruly Vietnam war protesters. He called out the National Guard and they occupied part of the city of Berkeley for 17 days. The rationale was to allow non-protesting students at UC Berkeley to “attend classes safely”. Of course, he was merely governor of a state, not the president.
Is this history rhyming 56 years later?
And Whiskey Pete, apparently salivating over being able to get a piece of the action in his own domain, promised that he would not hesitate to deploy Marines stationed nearby in Camp Pendleton should the National Guard not be able to complete its mission…

What I’ve seen happen is that Musk “backed down from decommissioning Dragon, the SpaceX Spacecraft. As Marcy pointed out that kind of volatility should be a reason to get rid of Musk at the top of SpaceX (and Starlink) She’s said this for a while that he is too drugged out to be in charge, but the Pentagon and the country relies on SpaceX. So, don’t get rid SpaceX, get rid of Musk!
