And here’s the picture of Scattery Island I referenced. Here’s a story about Moneypoint halting coal burning.

Around 66 min in, Marcy refers to Trump’s recent messaging re: Ukraine – and says he hasn’t really changed his position, that it was more of a “dick-waving….and it’s just not very…_______”
She tries to find the right word. How about ‘not very impressive’ or perhaps not visible by the naked eye?

Instead of windmills, existing coal fired power plants should be relocated close enough to Trump golf courses to be seen by the rotting orange scare-clown.

Florida Power & Light has a natural gas-fired plant south of Mar-a-Lago in Hollywood FL. FPL has a nuclear generation plant north of Mar-a-Lago in Port St. Lucie.

Good luck getting FPL to reverse the replacement of the old coal plant in Hollywood. We’d be better off trying to figure out how Trump’s dementia-addled brain is being manipulated and by whom when it comes to wind and solar power generation which are both cheaper than natural gas or nuclear energy.

I cannot believe what I am reading. Is this actually going on?

Vaala responded, “You didn’t see it?” And Halligan again told her, “I did not see that one.”

Vaala seemed surprised: “So your office didn’t prepare the indictment that they —”

Halligan then replied, “No, no, no — I — no, I prepared three counts. I only signed the one — the two-count (indictment). I don’t know which one with three counts you have in your hands.”

“Okay. It has your signature on it,” Vaala told Halligan, who responded, “Okay. Well.”

    In today’s MAHA news:

Defense Department Delays Cleanup of ‘Forever Chemicals’ Nationwide [NYT, paywalled]

The Department of Defense has quietly delayed its cleanup of harmful “forever chemicals” at nearly 140 military installations across the country, according to a list of sites analyzed by The New York Times. …

The Pentagon’s new timeline would delay cleanup around military sites by nearly a decade in some cases, according to the latest list, which is dated in March and was posted publicly in recent weeks without an announcement.

    Gotta love the radical transparency.

The Felon Guy ‘said Saturday he will send troops to Portland, Oregon, “authorizing Full Force, if necessary” to handle “domestic terrorists” as he expands his controversial deployments to more American cities.
He made the announcement on social media, writing that he was directing the Department of Defense to “provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland.” Trump said the decision was necessary to protect U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities, which he described as “under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists.”’

(The people in Portland haven’t noticed the ravages of war. In fact, outside of the ICE facilities, no one is bothering the feds at all.)

I’m fed up with emo dumps here. Learn how to report a fact and then make a call to action based on that fact. Dump your fee-fees some place else like Xitter, not here where we have a bias for action and not demoralization.

ADDER: For starters, when you ask people to call their representatives, provide the resource to make it easy.

Example: Congressional switchboard: (202) 224-3121 or use Resist.bot or 5Calls.org <<-- write this down and save it. I've had the switchboard memorized for a decade-plus. You could do something constructive instead of emo dumping here and create a petition at each of Resist.bot and 5Calls for folks to use. ADDER2: Okay, I'll have to screen all your comments sucking up even more of my time. It'd be easier to block you especially after your unpublished backchat.

I’ve been wondering for a long time why we haven’t heard anything about Scott Borgerson. So, this is very interesting.

I have finally read an article that plainly states the obvious- the foundation of support for MAGA and Christian nationalism is misogyny- salon. /2025/09/24/dont-worry-erika-kirk-will-never-replace-her-husband/
IMO we are still seeing the seemingly endless backlash to feminist progress. But the backlash can also be seen as progress toward the Divine Feminine 100s year rule over culture. So that’s cool.

It is bigotry at its simplest. The critical need for an oppressed Other. It should never be forgotten that from literally the start, the fiercest of abolitionists were reluctantly paired with the cruelest of slaveholders to give the necessary edge needed to fight a global empire. You could write a book (and several have) without ever referencing the 1619 project that proves there are whole swaths of America where there was NEVER democracy except what was delivered at the point of a gun.

Elmo says he is invited to Pedo Island, but refused after Epstein “tried to get” him to go. This statement only AFTER Elmo was outed.

Q: Why were you so close to Epstein that you were invited?
    Q: Why did you “refuse?”
Q: Why would Epstein think that you would be interested in going?
Q: Did you know what was going on?
Q: If so, why did you not report it?
Q: Why did you wait so long to come clean?

MTG (and Rafael “Ted” Cruz) don’t name Trump when criticizing him; it’s always “the government” or some vague reference.
I do not trust them for even one second to hold Trump accountable for Epstein or for anything else, because they’ve given me no reason to trust them. They will find some excuse to let him off the hook while targeting Dems. I would love for them to prove me wrong.

        • CaptainCondorcet says:

I have a suspicion that Complyin’ Ted has never forgotten the wounds inflicted on him and thinks that if this thing does blow up, he’ll be the one left standing and able to take what he deserves. MTG is just crazy enough to believe this will make her whatever the evangelical version of a saint (or martyr) is.

    Re first amendment: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.mad.282460/gov.uscourts.mad.282460.261.0.pdf

‘Having carefully considered the entirety of the record, this Court finds by clear and convincing evidence that the Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, together with the subordinate officials and agents of each of them, deliberately and with purposeful aforethought, did so concert their actions and those of their two departments intentionally to chill the rights to freedom of speech and peacefully to assemble of the non-citizen plaintiff members of the plaintiff associations. What remains after issuing this opinion is to consider what, if anything, may be done to remedy these constitutional violations’

Came across a nugget of a bombshell last night. In the middle of this linked podcast at 09:55, a man on TikTok threatens Moses Mike with exposure of who he is if he does not swear in the newly elected Rep from AZ. Apparently Mike has until noon today to swear in Rep. Adelita Grijalva.
