Florida Power & Light has a natural gas-fired plant south of Mar-a-Lago in Hollywood FL. FPL has a nuclear generation plant north of Mar-a-Lago in Port St. Lucie.
Good luck getting FPL to reverse the replacement of the old coal plant in Hollywood. We’d be better off trying to figure out how Trump’s dementia-addled brain is being manipulated and by whom when it comes to wind and solar power generation which are both cheaper than natural gas or nuclear energy.
I wonder what would happen if he was informed (truthfully) that China is building more wind and solar than the US.

The Department of Defense has quietly delayed its cleanup of harmful “forever chemicals” at nearly 140 military installations across the country, according to a list of sites analyzed by The New York Times. …

Trump put on a disturbing show for America’s generals and admirals.
The Atlantic // Tom Nichols // September 30, 2025, 7:23 PM ET
[…] Even if these officers had never attended a MAGA event or even seen one, they were now in the middle of a typical, unhinged Trump diatribe. The president had a speech waiting for him on the teleprompter, and now and then Trump would hunch his shoulders and apparently pick off a stray word or phrase from it, like a distracted hunter firing random buckshot from a duck blind. But Trump has always had difficulty wrestling Stephen Miller’s labored neoclassical references and clunky, faux Churchillisms off a screen and into his mouth. Mostly, the president decided to just riff on his greatest hits to the stone-faced assembly.
[…]
In 1973, an Air Force nuclear-missile officer named Harold Hering [link] asked a simple question during a training session: “How can I know that an order I receive to launch my missiles came from a sane president?” The question cost him his career. Military members are trained to execute orders, not question them. But today, both the man who can order the use of nuclear arms and the man who would likely verify such an order gave disgraceful and unnerving performances in Quantico. How many officers left the room asking themselves Major Hering’s question?
‘Having carefully considered the entirety of the record, this Court finds by clear and convincing evidence that the Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, together with the subordinate officials and agents of each of them, deliberately and with purposeful aforethought, did so concert their actions and those of their two departments intentionally to chill the rights to freedom of speech and peacefully to assemble of the non-citizen plaintiff members of the plaintiff associations. What remains after issuing this opinion is to consider what, if anything, may be done to remedy these constitutional violations’
Came across a nugget of a bombshell last night. In the middle of this linked podcast at 09:55, a man on TikTok threatens Moses Mike with exposure of who he is if he does not swear in the newly elected Rep from AZ. Apparently Mike has until noon today to swear in Rep. Adelita Grijalva.
