Well, I offered a scenario for how Ari could be Mr. X last week. Now I'm getting to the hard part--exploring how Armitage could be Mr. X, the source of Plame's identity for both Woodward and Novak. But before I do that, let me clarify what I'm doing and why I'm doing it (and why I did the Ari scenario).

Via Laura Rozen, I see that Theodore Draper, author of A Very Thin Line, has passed away. I quoted from Draper just the other day (in a post currently on ice in the Typepad fridge) and again just a few weeks ago, so it goes without saying that I believe Draper offers us some very important insight for our times.

Francis Fukuyama, You Got Duped by an Ignoble Lie

Francis Fukuyama wants you to know that he's no longer associated with Neo-Conservatism. Nope, he's done with it. Neoconservatism, as both a political symbol and a body of thought, has evolved into something I can no longer support. I appreciate the public disavowal of the movement.
